Q What can I do with Net Teller?
A You can transfer funds between existing accounts within our bank, view account information, download transaction information to a spreadsheet, word processing document, or Personal Finance software, stop payment on a check and make payments on loans held at our bank.

Q What is Personal Finance software?
A Personal Finance software is software that helps you keep track of your finances. An example of personal finance software is Microsoft Money®.

Q How do I access NetTeller?
A After you have signed up for the service, visit our web site and click the Internet Banking login button.

Q Do I need any special software installed on my computer?
A No. All you need is Internet access via an Internet Service Provider (ISP) and an Internet browser.

Q What is an Internet Service Provider (ISP)?
A An ISP is a company that provides Internet service to customers like you. Without an ISP you will be unable to access the Internet. Some examples of ISP's are America On-line (AOL), MSN and SBC DSL.

Q What is a browser and how do I get one?
A A browser is software that allows you to "surf" the web. Typically, most computers have Microsoft Internet Explorer included with Windows. You can also ask your ISP for more information on browsers.

Q When are NetTeller transactions updated to my account?
A Because NetTeller is in "real time," the transactions are updated immediately.

Q When will regular bank transactions show up on NetTeller?
A Regular bank transactions will show on NetTeller the following day, or Monday if the following day is Sunday.

Q Can NetTeller be set up as a joint account?
A No, however if the Bank account is a joint account it is acceptable for both account holders to share one NetTeller account.

Q What happens if I forget my NetTeller PIN?
A You may call any Bank office and ask them to reset your PIN. You will not be able to access your account immediately after the PIN is reset. After you provide the Bank with the information to unlock your account, it may take up to an hour for you to access your account.

Q Is there a fee for using NetTeller?
A There is no fee for NetTeller, but there may a fee associated with NetTeller PowerPay.

Q Whom can I pay through NetTeller PowerPay?
A You can pay ANYONE in the United States. The next door neighbor, the utility company, the bank, and even a child in college. If the person or company you wish to pay is not on NetTeller PowerPay’s electronic payee list, NetTeller PowerPay will send the payment as a check.

Q When and how are the payments processed?
A Payments submitted, recurring or one time, before 2:00 AM CST Monday-Friday will be processed at 2:00 AM CST. Payments submitted between 2:00 AM CST and Noon CST will be processed at 12 Noon CST. Payments received after 12:00 Noon CST on Monday-Thursday will be processed the next business day. Payments received after 12:00 Noon CST on Friday will be processed the next business day. All payments scheduled to go on a weekend will be processed on the processing day before the weekend. All payments scheduled to go on a holiday will be processed the day before that date. Payments entered on the weekend, recurring or one time, will be processed on the next business day.

Q How far in advance should I set up a payment to insure it is paid on time?
A Payments made by check should be scheduled 5 business days in advance of when you want the payment to actually be paid. Payments made by electronic payment should be scheduled 3 business days in advance of when you want the payment to actually be paid.

Q When will the money be taken out of my account?
A For an ELECTRONIC PAYMENT, funds are debited the same day that the payment is sent, providing it is sent by 12:00 Noon CST. Electronic payments submitted after 12:00 Noon CST are debited the next day during bill pay processing.

CHECK payment funds are debited from the account when the check is presented for processing at the bank.

Q What happens if I have a scheduled payment that falls over a weekend or holiday?
A If a scheduled payment falls on a holiday or weekend, it will be paid on the Friday before the weekend or the last working day before the holiday. Payments entered on a weekend or holiday will be processed the next business day.

Q How do I know if a payee is electronic or check?
A Once you have set up the payee, then you can look at the View Payees screen; you will see a field that will tell you if the payee is electronic or check.

Q What payment frequencies are available?
A You can set up payments in any of the following frequencies:
  • Weekly
  • Bi-weekly
  • Monthly
  • Semi-monthly
  • Quarterly
  • Annually
  • Semi-annually

Q Are there minimum and maximum payment amounts?
A Electronic payments are validated against the account balance prior to processing, and check payments settle against your account like any other check, therefore, there is no dollar limitation on payments made through PowerPay. You are limited only by the amount of funds in your account.

Q What if I do not have enough money in my account?
A CHECK payments are handled in the same manner as a check written out of your checkbook against an insufficient balance.

ELECTRONIC payments are verified for funds availability during processing. If the funds are available, the account that you selected for the payment will be debited and the information sent on to Princeton for processing. If the funds are not available, the payment will not be processed and you will receive a message to inform you that the payment could not be sent due to insufficient funds. Each day the payment will be resubmitted for you until either you delete the payment all together or the funds are in the account to make the payment.

Q Can I schedule recurring payments?
A Yes. You may schedule both one-time and recurring payments.

Q How far in advance can I schedule payments?
A You may schedule payments up to 90 days in advance of the first due date. Recurring payments can have an end date of any year in the future.

Q How late in the day can I enter, edit, or delete a payment?
A You may add, edit, or delete a payment up to 2:00 AM CST on the day the payment is scheduled to be sent. If a same day payment is submitted between 2:00 AM CST and Noon CST it may be edited up until Noon CST.

Q Are there merchants I cannot pay through NetTeller PowerPay?
A No. Any merchant that is on Princeton’s data base can go electronically. If a merchant is not on the list, you may send the payment as a check using NetTeller PowerPay.

Q Can I have multiple payments to the same payee on the same day?
A At this time, there is nothing that checks for multiple payments for the same amounts going to the same vendor on the same day.

Q Can I stop a payment?
A Yes. After the check is printed and mailed, payment history will show the check number for that payment. The stop payment would be added in the same manner as for a regular check written out of your checkbook. A charge may apply if a payment is stopped.

Q Can I use NetTeller PowerPay if I live outside the U.S.?
A Yes, as long as you have a checking account with our bank.

Q Can I get a copy of the canceled check?
A Yes. You can access an image of the cancelled check online using NetTeller, or you can contact us for an image of the cancelled check.

Q How long is history retained in the View Payment History section?
A Payment history for active and deleted payees is retained and viewable indefinitely.

Q What happens if I lose or forget my ID or PIN?
A At this time there is not a separate ID and PIN for NetTeller PowerPay. If you lose/forget your ID or Pin for NetTeller, you may call us and with proper verification, your ID or a temporary Pin will be given to you.

Q What do the status fields indicate on the Payment History Page?
A Processed - The payment has been processed and sent.

Rejected NSF - The payment that you have tried sending has rejected due to Non-sufficient funds.

Communication Failure - There was an error due to communication problems.

Q How many payees may I have set up?
A There is no limit to the amount of payees you can set up through the Internet.

Q Can I edit payee addresses?
A No. Once an address is entered it stays with that payee. If you need to change an address it will be necessary to recreate the payee using the new address.

Q Will the memo field that I fill out when setting up a payment be passed on to the payee?
A Yes, your memo will appear on paper check bill payments. The memo field is 40 characters long. Any amount over 40 characters will be cut off.
